Transaction Types

Transaction types that are built into AlayaCare Resi and available in every organization. Journal items reference these through transactionTypeID; the types allowed on a journal are determined by its journal type.

transactionCode is not unique; several transaction types share a code, so use transactionTypeID to identify a type. The general ledger code rule and the display description (customDescription) can be customised per organization.

Retrieving transaction types

GET …/api/Setup/Billing/TransactionTypes returns all transaction types for the organization, including GL code rules.

Record access type

Each transaction type returned by the API has an accessType value of type RecordAccessType that shows whether it is built into the product or created by a user.

`System`	2	Built into AlayaCare Resi. These are the transaction types listed on this page.
`User`	3	Created by a user in the organization.
